Default scored a chevelle

I would like some input....
I scored a 1970 chevelle malibu trim for 1200 bucks 59000 miles a/c car bench seat 350 engine auto trans grandmaw green
I picked up a 6.0 lq4 yesterday for 1200 bucks 46000 miles with all the acc and wiring
Im planning on making a cruiser for the wife should i do a cam/ intake swap before installing this thing?
This is the first chevy I have ever built so its a HUGE learning curve for me!
thanks for any input!

Good score. Don't worry, this is an easy swap as many are already done and documented in the FAQ.

Yes.. do the CAM/Spring swap now. Cheap LS5/Z06 cam/springs would make it a nice Daily Driver and be cheap to do. Find a LS6 intake to top it off .. (Else the Talk Intake and Alternator could cause problems with the hood, seach on that car intake swap on LQ engine)

Get a build thread going.. and research the FAQ for the A-Body. (mine can be seen in my sig).

I am currently getting pieces together for a 72 Chevelle with an 07 LY6 (6.0 with L92 heads).
Are you going to stay fuel injection? What transmission?

The 4L60E will work out well. What trans was behind the engine you acquired. It may be necessary to repin the trans plug. If so I have the diagram.

Nice Score, my very first car was just like that same color and trim, until a light pole jumped in front of me in the rain. Please keep us posted on your progress.

I would love to find a score like that. Very jealous. From some tear downs I have witnessed I wouldnt go much over 100,000 if that. car-part.com is a great place to score ls engines with low miles for cheap. good luck
