Default 71 Chevelle+LY6+T56,

I recently started collecting parts to start this build. I have a 71 malibu and plan to drop in a 6.0 LS engine with L92 heads, ls3 intake and a cam, a t-56 6-speed and some other goodies. Here are few pics to start.

Yeah.. Another 71' !!.. Anyway... I'll be watching..

What did you do to coat the Frame.. looks like you just took it and had it sprayed or coated. Are the plans now to replace the suspension part ?

Are you modifying the fbody pan so it doesn't stick below the crossmember or are you just going to run it as is and put the engine a little higher? I know some folks on here who haven't lowered their cars very much have added some gussets under the crossmember to protect the pan.

Great project, keep us updated!

Self etch primer sure is high dollar but its a great start. Painting the underside black, and goin to shoot some 2K over the fire wall before i spray the secret color, and the motor gets fitted.
