I have looked everywhere and i cant find an answer....

Im lookin at an 01 firechicken with a blown motor. I have a 02 lm7 not doing anything right now and i was wondering if it is a direct swap... I think i can get away with no tuning for the moment but is this a direct swap? Thanks

It should be a direct swap, as long as you tap the 5.3 for the alternator bracket.

I'd assume the tune will be close enough, but I'd still get it tuned.

Once the additional bolt hole is drilled and tapped everything externally will interchange. You don't need that hole but it's there for the F-Body accessory drive.

You will need a tune for the 5.3. The difference between the two engines is large enough to require it to run smoothly.
