Default conversion mount/plates

I have searched here a bunch and have been unable to find where most ppl are buying these from. The plate that goes on the ls engine that the motor mount bolts to. Also Does anyone make one that is adjustable?

Thanks,
Scott

There are many manufactors and stores that well sell you some. There are also Sponsor here on LS1Tech that can help you out.

There are all types of plates/adapters; Holley, Carshop, S&P, BRP, Headman,Hooker, TransDapt, Advance Adapter etc... EBay is a good source if you don't want to deal with a retail/discount store. there is also Summitracing, Jegs, Speedway, etc type of super stores.

If you want an adjustable plate, the Dirty Dingo one will work for you.

The Transdapt plates are Junk,,,,stay away from them........Their holes centers are not put in correctly and they don't bolt up to the block.......

Good to know what has worked for others..

I have made my own plates for both my swaps.. 1/4" steel for my Chevelle, Early BRP style and 1/2" alum 1" Setback for my Nova.

Doesn't take long, just need some need a few tools and some time. wasn't hard.

We have used them on numerous swaps without a hitch. You have gotten a bad set.

I'll second that! Ken had to make a set for my 59 Bel Air just like what he made for his 66 Impala.

Not to get into any Bashing here........Just facts.....But when I tried to bolt on my Transdapt plates, only one row of bolts went in......the hole center spacing was about .040 off......nothing that a file or Carbide Burr couldn't correct........But....Why???.....Look at the last picture and I think you will see the answer........

Heres what the mounts were wrapped in......Nuff Said!!
