Default 5.3 will not run!

Here's the deal I wired up my motor and tried foreign it up but nothing happens. It cranks over it has fuel and fire. The PCM gas the vats deleted and works on my buddy's car. The engine cranks and acts like it wants to run but nothing. I need help because I am at a loss right now. Has anyone had this problem?

I had a similar problem on first startup.. if u try some starter fluid in the manifold does it fire? another way to test is unplug the TPS plug (I did the cable style throttle body and miswired the connector), computer thought the throttle was wide open (doesn't fire injectors if wide open on start)

It was Picking up a mil code and a code for the alternator. I did try some starter fluid( I didn't want to) and nothing. It just turns over and sputters. I will try disconnecting the tps and see why happens. Could it have anything to do with the timing?

Gummed up injectors. Happens all the time with engines that have not run in a while.
Take them out and soak them in kerosene for an hour.
Re-install them and it should fire right up.

We had a 5.3 that had sat a couple years and the injectors were stuck - Soaked them a couple hours and it fired right up. I tested them with a 9V battery - They click when functioning correctly.

Double check that your 'KEY ON' power wires do not lose power when you have the key in the CRANK position.

When you say you have 'FIRE' how did you verify this?

yeah I agree with Jon also.. if it does not run on starter fluid it is not the injectors.. it is no fire..

Not sure how you check the trigger signals to the coils with a voltmeter, but you actually disconnected a plug wire, stuck a nail or something down in there and held it next to the block and watched spark jump the gap?
