Default Need some help DBW to DBC swap, and choosing a harness for my 2009 5.3 swap

Im putting it into a 62 chevy pickup. What harness is the best bang for the buck. I have a stock harness with pcm but no pedal.

If I read correctly, are you planning on going drive by cable with a 2009 engine? If so, you will need to run the Lingenfelter box with a 411 style PCM from a 99-02 vehicle.

There are not many 58x compatible ecus that will run an IAC.
Why not just buy a pedal, truck ones are cheap.

To follow up on Gary's question, is there a reason you want to run DBC? A DBW pedal will be much cheaper than the lingenfelter box.

Where could I get a pedal? I wasnt going to run fuel injection at first so I never asked for the pedal.

Pedals are relatively cheap from the dealer. The Monte Carlo SS pedal will work and it is under 50 bucks from the dealer, or at least it used to be a couple of years ago.

On my Nova's build I used a C5 Corvette wiring harness (drive-by-wire) and ECM and modified the harness to be drive-by-cable for my 4150 style Accufab throttle body (had to add pigtails for IAC and TPS plus delete the TBW harness). Then I re-flashed the Corvette's ECM with the operating system from a 2002 F-body to make it drive-by-cable. You could do the same thing by re-flashing your ECM to a van or other cable throttle vehicle. HP Tuners does however require you to license both the original ECM and the "donor" ECM so even this option is not a freebie.

Truck pedal with APPS is about $100 from the dealer. Rock Auto probably has them cheaper.
Your best bet is to get the complete pedal from the same model/year vehicle the ecu came from. Since you're putting it in a truck, the 09 truck pedal should fit nicely.

Do you have the part number? Is it year specific?

I don't have a PN but try 2007 Monte Carlo SS with the 5.3L engine.
