Default Exhaust and Gasket questions

I'm about to start an LQ9/TH400 swap into my 79 Mustang Ghia which I want do budget style.

I'm going with the 4.6 K-member and mounts. My first question is: has anybody used the stock iron manifolds and managed to graft/splice them onto a stock Fox (dual) exhaust system? How feasible is this?

My LQ9 isn't as good condition as I would have hoped (ebay purchase), so the heads are having to come off to be cleaned up, and I'll skim them at the same time, my second question is about head gaskets: will the GM LS3/L92 MLS gasket work on the LQ9 with stock 317 heads as they work out $20 a pair cheaper for the GM parts over the normal 6.0 GM gaskets?

Any advice welcome.

The only help I can offer is with the exhaust manifolds. The new body style camaro (5th gen) manifolds will work, the truck & f-body manifolds will not. Here's a link to a current ebay auction for your reference.

Thanks for the info and the link, unfortunately I'm in the UK and they ship to the US only.

I just provided the link for reference. Those things are for sale all over, try the parts for sale forum on some camaro boards. I picked up a pair for $40 on camaro5.com a few months ago.
