I talked to Paul at Stainless Works today and he confirmed they are working on a new design for added clearance. He didn't get a completion date, but he said one of their distributors is test fitting the new design. As we talked it just so happened this distributor is the vendor I bought my headers from...

Ok, time to shed some light on this one.......
We are making a very slight change to the L2 primary (cylinder 3) on our CALS1SB header. The slight change will give some extra clearance (3/16" of an inch) to allow for improved fitment. This should allow the use of some aftermarket steering boxes, which are typically a bit larger than the stock steering box these headers are intended to fit. Keep in mind every steering box is different in dimension, so we cannot guarantee fitment to everything, as I'm sure you can understand why. We are in the process of making this slight change and verifying fitment to improve our application coverage.
