Does the 9117 autometer tach adapter work?

I'm running an 08 5.3 and truck pcm with no tach output and I'm wanting to use factory 70 chevelle tach.I have read where people love them and people hate them!Whats up? and now do they wire up?THANKS.

So... over a year later, what's the good word on this product??? I'm looking to resort to one myself after trying other methods that never worked in my truck!
