50's era GM truck 4x4 info wanted I tried a search. I have a friend that wants to build a ls powered 4x4 53 Chev truck. Anybody have a link to one? Either their 's or a friend. He wants to know what to use for a frame, transfer case and he wants to use a auto trans. Looking for as much info as I can find for him. I guess he might become a member to this forumn as he's in the beginning stages. He already has a body on a stock frame. If this is in the wrong heading, mods can you move it please.

The 53 will fit on a s10 frame almost perfectly the wheel bases are a little off but he can change that when he does the driveshaft and reared placement that is how I did my 54 although mine is two wheel drive other than that four wheel drive is easy as long as you own a strong welder and feel confident to make frame modifications
