Default What kind of power steering fitting is this?

I bought a 04-07 CTS-V power steering pump, and I cannot figure out what kind of fitting this is on the pressure outlet of the pump. The piece I am holding was screwed into a much larger black fitting on the pump. The dark ring that is closest to the camera is an o-ring. The dark C-shaped piece farther from the camera (and farther down inside of the fitting) is some sort of brass or copper-colored C-clip. I don't think it is meant to come out.

What kind of fitting is this? I feel like this should be pretty common, as it is offered as one of the GMPP accessory sets.

Also, what is that white stuff on the threads? I don't think it's teflon tape, and it's very hard so I don't think it's liquid pipe lube, but I could be wrong.

I attached thumbnails through the LS1tech site - they seem to be working on my end. Anybody else having a problem viewing the attached thumbnails?

Red Xs here too.
Any chance it's the variable assist fitting?

Alright, I added some of my own hosted pictures.

I don't know much about the variable assist steering, but the pump doesn't seem to be anything special.

The seal looks like torn up teflon rings, but I am not sure what kind of fitting that is.

Looks like the fitting out of the back of the pump.

This pump is, for the most part, a Toyota pump. 1) It has "TOYODA" stamped on the front, and 2) The pump case is identical to the pumps used on the Corolla, Camry, Matrix, and other Toyota vehicles through the 2000's, except that some of those pumps have a pressure sensor on them.

Does that help any? I know nothing about Toyota pumps or their fittings.

Did you ever work out how this fitting works? I've got the same one out of a CTS V pump on an LSA engine. Can't work out what pipe or how to make it work.
