Would the Trailblazer SS oil pan and front differential work? If it would fit it seems like that would be an easier approach.

Looking good! That 6.0 should run good in a lighter s10. Keep us posted!

The TBSS pan is a front sump pan. In our case (S-10), they will not work.

Nice to see another LS swap in RI. Still working onmine. Nice work. Hope to see you out there driving this summer.

Nice build. What are your plans for the AWD conversion? Bet you can keep your cost down by getting a manual lock for your front diff. I noticed bravada front diff tend to demand a high price.

Also if you're going for the BW 4472 for your t-case, search the yards for AWD Astro's and Safari's. Same thing but tend to e listed cheaper.

I dunno about the v8 traiblazer platform vehicles but the inline six 4wd have an axle shaft that goes straight thru the middle of an oilpan did you consider a vette pan as they are pretty flat wide however with a rear sump

Anyways I've always wanted an awd s10 like a syclone with ls power

What tranny transfercase are you gonna use a astro bravada or esclade type?

I think you will go along time till something breaks. Alot of st/ty guys run that set-up drag racing as high as 700hp without breaking anything. The weakest link is the joints in the front driveshaft.

Do you need anyting like the T-case or front accessory drive for the engine? Like I said yesterday, I am local. I also have some things you might need.

Let me know.

paint is rustoleum high performance enamel (1 gallon the brush on stuff) even though it is brush on it self levels and looks like it came out of a gun!. OCT03GTO you ever go up to the warwick car meets at wendys in the summer. if so i probably know you. and what do you have for parts? u have a bravada tcase?

Update: motor is in pieces i ordered

ARP Head Studs
ARP Main Bolt Kit
ARP Rod Bolts
ARP Cam Bolts
ARP Cam retainer plate bolts
New Oem Camshaft retainer plate
Permatorque MLS Headgaskets
Perfect circle rings
GM LS7 Lifters
New Lifter trays
Clevite Main+Rod Bearings
Valve seals
new dipstick tube(mine was rotted)

i mic'd up the crank and its in spec. i dont have bore gauge but looks to be ok motor didnt have much for milage. bearings looked brand new just doing it for piece of mind

still need a good cam/valve springs/pushrods/double roller chain but money isnt there right now..

plans for suspension are a 4in rear block kit in the rear, with belltech shocks and im gonna pull the bolts out of the keys up front to get a 3in drop which is about as low as you can go on a 4x4 without breaking cv's or so ive been told.

I've got a Bravada T case from a 94 and another T case from an AWD 98 Astro. I also have a complete accessory drive setup from a 2005 LQ-4 and engine harness with ECM, throttle body, gas pedal, and intake manifold.

Yes, I have been at that car meet. Not often, and not for about a year. I have a black 2004 GTO that you can hear miles before I get there. LOL

how much you trying to get for either the bravada or astro tcase im being cheap right now times are tough lol i have all of my wiring and my ecm,and my takeout came with all the accesories. i got a shop right off newport ave in pawtucket if ya wanna swing by one day and BS about the trucks.

on another note...

did some harness mods today. got it all hooked up gonna hit the junkyard to get some connectors so i can make it plug and play so its not hardwired to the truck in case i need to remove the harness. im gonna add some more pics tommorow.

in the process of rebuilding the engine i noticed a hairline crack in piston #2 so ill be getting a new one from the dealer... at least i noticed it i almost didnt the crack is right in between the ring lands

i still havnt found a whole lot of info bout how high people have gone HP/Tq wise on stock gen 3 rods (Press Fit) anyone have a clue?

Those cases go for around $300. I'll go half that. And I could even meet you somewhere in the middle if you like. (distance) Let me know. I can have either out and ready this weekend if you want.
