Default F-Body Oil Pan

I purchased an fbody oil pan and pickup. I realize I still need a dipstick and tube. Is the windage tray different or am I an idiot? For the life of me I cant get the oil pan on my lm7.

I think the F-body windage tray is different in that it does not cover the two front cylinders - I guess it does not clear the front of the pan. Therefore, you are not an idiot.

The F-Body Windage tray is 3/4 legnth... you can either buy one, or just cut it off just forward of the 2nd mounting point from the front. In the photo.. the F-Body is this mounted on the engine.. and the when being held is a CTS-V / Truck one. (note: I am hold it backward..)

Cut the front off the LM7 tray as bczee said. That's how mine is done and no interference

I'm using the fbody pickup tube and the tray mount won't fit. I'll have to cut a hole with a dremel.... so it won't DIRECTLY mount up, but it isn't hard to make it work.
