Default M6->A4, wont shift out of 1st

I am having a problem with my m6 to a4 swap. The trans wont shift out of 1stit even when commanding it with hp tuners. I checked the voltage at the 20 way plug and everything seems right when compared to the voltage of a suburban of the same year except the range A, B, and C terminals (pins N, R, and P respectfully). They only show 10 volts as opposed to 12 as in the suburban. Would this cause my no shift issue? Speedometer works btw.

What year is the transmission. What tune are you using? TCC Wiring hooked up?

Car is a 98Z/28, trans is from a 2000 chevy 1500, all 13 wires in the big trans plug are ran to their respective pins in the computer except the pink wire, pin E which I have ran to a switched 12 volt source. I do not have a PNP switch installed. I was told by a member of this forum that I just had to ground the pin red 32 when in park or neutral to allow the car to run better in lieu of the PNP switch. I copied the transmission portion of a factory 98 tune from the hp tuners and flashed it to my pcm. Included are my tune that is now installed and the factory 98 tune. Thanks in advance for the help Jon.

Agree with the p/n. I am asking about the TCC. Should be hooked to your brake switch so it is getting KEY ON 12 volts with foot off brake and open circuit when you step on the brake.

I will have to wire that up. So the tan/black wire which is pin T on the trans harness should go to my brake switch then come out of my brake switch and go to pin blue 32?

I wired the brake switch so it sends 12v from the pcm to the trans harness when brake isn't pressed and open when pressed. Drove the car and blew the cooler line off. Put fluid back in just to get back to the garage. Im thinking my wiring may be correct and the trans is just bad, but the trans doesn't seem to slip or anything in 1st.

What is weird is that typically a transmission defaults to second or third gear and goes to limp mode. This is to allow for issues if you blow the transmission fuse or something is wrong with the wiring.

Are u thinking the transmission itself may be bad? It was taken from a wrecked truck so I couldn't check it before hand but I can trade out for another one if that is the case. Im pretty sure its in 1st considering the speed and the acceleration that it seems to have when moving forward.

I dont know. Just commenting on the fact that typically if it was electrical (eg incorrect wiring, lack of power, etc) it would default to second gear.

You need to do a write entire with an automatic trans file to have control of an automatic transmission. Can't just copy over tables to the manual tune it doesn't work that way. There are lots of tables that we don't even see that need changed. You would have 3rd gear and reverse with it unplugged.
