Default cranking

anyone had motor to start without vats removed? 6.0 stock computer. standalone harness. went to spin over and check starter and it hit. cuts off after 5 seconds or so but no map sensor hooked up. took for granted thats why it was cutting off. or is it the vats cutting it off?

Vats all the way. Try spraying brake cleaner while cranking. It should stay running as long as you feed the brake clean.
