Default 2nd gen camaro turbo swap question

Anybody using truck manifolds forward and down facing in a second gen camaro? I want to use these as the start of my single turbo kit. Any fitment/clearance issues? Also what motor mount adapters did you use?( standard, 1" setback etc.)

They will need to be cut down for sure. May need to use an LS4 manifold on the passenger side. Get a pair, cut them up, and try it.

Doing the same thing on mine. I'll have some pics by this weekend if want a few, not going turbo immediately but, I'm mocking up the forward facing truck mani's just to see what I'll run into. I'm using "Dirty Dingo" swap plates. Adjustable 1" forward or 2 1/2" backwards from stock location to put motor where you want/need it. Look them up. What part needs to be cut down? Obviously havn't done this yet, just curious.

Truck manifolds will not work forwards or backwards. Dammit.

Stock truck manifolds? Of course not. You need to at least cut the 3 bolt flanges off first.

Where exactly do the manifolds or flanges hit? Any pics of the mock up or of modified manifolds installed?

I'm going to run mine forward but up instead of down. Had to cut the Flanges off and change the outlet anlge of the manifold then cut the original flanges straight and welded them back on. Going to take studs out of flanges and drill out the holes and use stainless bolts there. Save me some money, V-bands are expensive

They kick out far enough to where the flanges contact the sub frame. Can't bolt them up at all and I have my motor set back to the limit. Going forward and facing down is totally out. Manifolds from a late model Camaro seem to be the ones to use.
