I am planning a build using an lq4 and a mild cam. It will be in a DD and I would like the idle to be factory like/smooth and really very little lope. I would like xway cruise mpg to still be fairly good.

The car will weigh around 3200lbs and will be running a t56 with a 3.45 final gear.

I plan to run the LS6 intake

I am shooting for around 450hp or so...or whatever I can get with these couple mods.

So what I am wondering is what cam would be good for my application? Something aftermarket or would a factory cam from say an LS6 be a good choice. Or maybe the GM hotcam setup (does that have a nice idle?)

I am planning to upgrade the springs at the same time.

Also what size injectors would be a good choice? Would the LS6 stock injectors be good? There will be zero changes down the road once this is built...so no need to plan for later upgrades. Car will be a street car only, no track....

I would love to be able to use the stock LS6 injectors as I will already have them with the LS6 intake.

I am pretty new to the LSx world but am learning quickly!!
