93-97 Camaro with LS1??
Anybody other than myself have a 93-97 Camaro w/ LS1 LT's and a 3in Y pipe??? I am wondering if there is anything i can do to improve ground clearance? I am going to change the shitty clamps that came with it to band clamps. That will eliminate the clamps from hanging below the y pipe but, the y pipe still hangs low around the center of the car?

I got the 3in TSP stainless y with my Pacesetter but, now i'm thinking i probably should have got the 2.5in pacesetter y. It didn't look nearly as nice though. Is the undercarriage different on my car than the LS cars?

No, your not the only one with an ls type motor in your lt car. There are hundreds of them. Ground clearance on any 4 gen sucks regardless of what type of headers or y pipe. The pacesetter y is also 3 inch. I don't know where you got info saying it was 2.5". The only 2.5" y out there is made by bbk.

My mistake on the pacesetter y. I guess i was thinking about the bbk. I have just seen where some people have been able to get there tsp y to tuck up pretty nice. Pictures can be deceiving though, so maybe they aren't tucked up as nice as i think.

I'm not really in the know on this, but what would be the difference in power using the long tubes, vs using the CTS-V/ZR1 exhaust manifolds? I would think the manifolds would allow for a more stock-like y-pipe routing, which would restore ground clearance. The theory would be the manifolds would allow for high hp, and not push change down the road. When it comes time for me to yank my LT1 out of my formula, I'm definitely considering this route.

Yes. https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...-1994-z28.html
My Y pipe is all sorts of hacked up and welded up for a perfect fit. I hammered in the rear passenger seat to make more clearance.
