Default Has anyone used the LT1 style VSS with the LSX PCM?

I used one from a 96 corvette and put my 700R4 tail shaft onto a 4l60E with an adapter. The reluctor ring had to be moved but it worked out. I'm doing a mail order tune just to get me going but plan on a dynotune when I get it all dialed in. I'm having trouble explaining to him what to do to get my 96 VSS to talk to the 99 LS1 pcm and also communicate with my 91 BCM.
Form my understanding my 91 corvette has a four pulse (4000 pulses per mile ) sine wave.
The ls1 is expecting a 40 pulse per driveshaft revolution and my BCM, and gauges are expecting output form the PCM to be 4000 pulse per mile also.

So what exactly is the difference and what do I tell my tuner to change?
