I envy u guys as on my swap, I'm still configuring and/or mocking **** up. I can't start any of the stuff you are already working on until I get it running atleast.
Anyhow, the intakes look good. Can't wait to do mine also

Patience my friend.... I started planning and saving for my swap over a year ago. Started buying parts in September 2011 and thought I would never have all the parts. Then all in one week I did the swap and drove it out of the shop. Still am saving and collecting to get the turbos on. I'm hoping I can have them on by the time the big car show in Ocean City Md rolls around, but not looking to promising. Good luck with your build.

These intakes really take on a different look when smoothed. Does everyone feel comfortable with the structural integrity after the smoothing?

Still working on it. Used an air grinder with a carbide cutting tip, and air jigsaw and some 80 grit sandpaper wrapped around a piece of 3/4" aluminum square stock. Still working on it. gonna put some filler on it and sand with some 220 grit. Then I plan on painting with some aluminum color paint so it looks like the heads.

LOL... Hooters is always so damn busy you have to fight for a spot. Thats the reason for the Food Lion lot and everything in between. My wife will be down tursday with her yellow SRT8 Challenger.

Yeah pretty much. I know the guys that park the cars and they are a click. All the same cars win the trophies every year too. I usually walk up there and talk to some people but the shopping center lot is better. Wednesday all the cars do burnouts in front of the lot... the cops aren't out in force till thurs.

Smoothing makes the intakes look like they are some kind of crazy supercharger instead of a big dumb truck intake. These look great.

I have only been to the Ocean City car show thing once. If I get the Impala running by then I might try to swing it. I had to do a frame off, but it's ready for the engine now. My 5.3 should be here tomorrow.....with a big dumb truck intake on top of it.

It doesn't look too bad as long as you have room for the cover.
