Default 87 T/A cammed Lq4

Hey guys, just wanted to share some vids of my completed lq4 swap on my car.I had done the ls1 swap last year but it was shortlived puking #7.I stumbled on a low mile lq4 and jumped at the chance to make the car semi quick.Over the coming months Ill be saving up for stage 2 of my build and do heads and longtube exhaust and work heavily on the suspension and brakes. For now..enjoy.

What motor mounts did you use to swap in the engine and what exhaust manifolds were used?
Getting ready to do the same with an LS1

Thanks

looks like a great project to me. I love 3rd gens, 3rd gen TAs are hard to come by too. (I've looked.)

Any idea what kinda power you put down with the LQ4?

remote start too cool.

either that or you're invisible.

For mounts I used lsx conversion frame mounts from Hawksthirdgen.com and then the fbody mounts and I upgraded to poly mounts. They have all the parts to do the swap and its bolton.

T/A's in good shape are very hard to find without a ridiculous asking price..Im always looking aswell.Havent had the car on the dyno yet for numbers or a proper tune.I got other lil things to fix first.Need a new alternator and power steering line.

Yes i got a remote starter with the window module and a carputer in that badboy.Always gets attention.

3rd gen camaros are very cheap here (300-$1500) but search for "firebird" or "transam" you get 1, 2 results usually.. something rusted out sitting in a field with no tires and they want like $3500 for it.

I had a carputer once, then I got an iphone. They're cool tho, I loved having it and used it a lot.

www.mp3car.com if you're not already familiar. (you probably are if you have one heh.)
