Question 1956 chevy ls1 oil pan

Just joined today.Im putting my first ls1 into a car.My ? is i need to run the holly pan for more ground clearance.Im running 2" drop spindle and coil overs.I had a Jz pan and did not like the fact of the amount of oil and can only run stock oil pump and they said no track use and high rpm for long period of time.So is the holly the same or just new and improved.
Thanks Tom..

I used a fbody oil pan. I had to notch it a bit to clear the steering.
