Default What is this connector?

There are two of these on my harness and I'm not sure where they go.

I have an 04 so my connector is different. Can I tie these together and buy the right connector to make it work with my setup?

Not sure how you mean they are different. They were the same until GEN IV engines when the knock sensors were located low on either side of the engine block and featured 2 wire sensors instead of 1 wire.

Its not that bad to pull the intake. Its 8 bolts and as long as the gaskets aren't junk you can use them again. Then the knock sensors r right there

I got the sensors hooked up, are those covers needed? I plugged them in and put the intake back on. I guess I should be careful about water getting in the holes

I'd run the covers. Over time the knock sensors will start to corrode from water getting trapped in there

If I am assuming correctly you are talking about those black plugs that snap into the valley pan. Yes, I would run them, keeps stuff from getting to the knock sensor holes.

They actually slow down the water that gets down into the holes. LOL
