Default NOOB...5.3l SN95 Swap

NOOB here just doing some research on a 5.3 swap. I currently have a 98 mustang v6 with a gt35r that is close to 400whp on 12 psi. I am considering a 5.3 swap to turbo over next winter. The wiring was a main concern of mine, but it seems to be straight forward. Now comes to the trans...my car will not be an automatic, so what are my 5 and 6 speed options?? Obviously a t56 is the 1st choice, but will other things work? Does it have to be an ls1 t56 or can a lt1 t56 be made to work? I have seen auto guys using th350's and 400's, so obviously older trans do bolt up. I also saw quicktime sells a bell for t5/tr3550/tko, does that mean I could use a 3rd gen T5 bell with my existing t5 until funds are avail for a tko? If so, what clutch??

I did a lot of searching first, and Im sorry if these are basic questions, but Im just not finding the info Im looking for

i got a harness on ebay for 350 bux and its kinda like standalone just add power, i believe the main difference between the two t56's is the input shaft?? imo i would go with a stalled turbo 400

Not on this car...maybe on another one, this one will always be a stick.
On the t56, Ive heard the input shaft and mid plates are different, im just not sure why an lt1 t56 wont work if a th350 will?

Input shafts are different lengths it has been gone through in depth in the manual trans section. You need the LS midplate to do the internal slave as the LT is for external slave.
