2012 5.3 truck engine question
So I have been looking into a 2012 5.3 truck motor thats a take out from the truck being wrecked the motor only has 112kms on it brand new. Now It comes with harness and ecm, my question is would I beable to use my hanress and ecm I have already for this motor plus I have a ls1 intake and dbc throttle body which is what I wanna run if I go with this motor. I already have a 5.3 truck motor I been playing around with but turns out I need to replace the lifters and a few other items On the motor. oh By the why this 5.3 is goin for 500 complete.

You can use the harness will some mods. But you need a Gen IV ECM to run it. That said the 5.3L now have VVT. So you need the correct ECM for it as well.
But you said you want to run the LS1 intake and DBC. Basically you would need to ditch the VVT. And buy a 58x to 24x converter box. Those are not cheap.
Plus the 5.3L has the good 243/799 heads and a 87mm intake as well. So no real advantage to the LS1 style.
