That sounds like a wiring problem to me.

Sounds like the engine and trans computers are not communicating. I don't think you need the pinouts for the transmission, I'd look more at the wires connecting the TCU to the ECU.

No, I am saying the wiring that connects the trans controller to the engine controller.
I think it is something like 2 or 3 wires between them. But if the engine and trans computers are not communicating, then the trans doesn't know what the engine RPM or TPS is, and will stay in 1st gear. The ECM won't know what the vehicle speed is, so you will not show anything on a speedo.

I forgot to show you this:

check the VSS. I botched my install and the trans wouldn't shift. Removed the VSS and reinstalled it making sure it was seated all the way and viola, the trans shifted. I also had no speedo either until the VSS started working.

looks like i may had my harness reworked by the wrong business. i read the thread and i've had some of the same problems from them. they told me it would take 5 day for me to get my order and it took like 4weeks and on top of that harness had no locks that hold wires in the connecters took like 2weeks for them to figure that out then they took a nother week to send locks to me now trans is still not working so i guess i got screwed to. so now i dnt want to send it back b/c they will jus screw me more its been 2months already

Sorry to hear of the bad luck. Cut your losses with SSP wiring. Figure it out yourself or pay some reputable shop to fix it. JMO

I had similar issues with them also. They told me they didn't install locks on the connectors, because the customers kept breaking them.....it was such an idiotic reply I didn't even bother asking them the send the locks
