Read thru it a few times but not really seeing what I'm looking for they really should make that thread a sticky!! I guess I'll use the search again too since that's coming up next.. So anybody have pics of headers of manifolds that aren't posted in the g body swap thread?

If you see post #812 there are some big *** pics of fbody LT headers.

Like always, driver side slides right in. Passenger side hits frame etc. In post #812 you see where he cut the tubes and pulled the headers away from the frame so they clear now. So after you pull/bend them out of the way to clear weld those cuts back up.

Are your adapter plates 1in backs? I don't think I've seen a build where standard plates work with fbody LT headers. I know they seem to work with 1in set backs.

Wait are you wanting Headers? Or factory manifolds?

they are the hooker plates that holley used for el camino verde
not really sure what the are as far as setback..

id rather have headers and have seen really good pics of the passenger side but not many of the driver side with the steering shaft in place..

everything fits really nice with these plates but i think they sit higher than some others because the truck manifold hit the hood as did the alternator.. so i went to f body accessory drive and manifold.. the lsa oil pan is the newer cts-v pan fit pretty good but i notched the back side of the crossmember for a little extra clearance.. anyway.. back to topic..

how well do the f body headers fit the column shift linkage components?

If you have column shifter there might be problems I think, if you have floor shifter should be fine. I swear I seen a build somewhere or maybe someone here said they had issues with their column shifter.

Why not just get the BRP headers that are proven to fit? They may cost more, but no mods are required to install them.
