Swaps pretty straight forward like any other where the only thing that really takes work is wiring and it appears Current Performance has that figured out. T56 all mocked up in mine and the plate to cover the stock hole.

We have adapter plates available now, to place a LS block in a Dodge Dakota that had 3.9/5.2/or 5.9 engine or the "next generation" 3.7/4.7 anchor. Some videos are available on youtube "lsdak.com" or see the motor dropping in at

.

I can only make transmission spacer for 6L90 at the moment, but we will probably swap to T56/6060 when the turbo goes on in the summer. Then we will have spacers for those.

See the build thread just posted.

Greetings all, I am new to this forum, I am dakota3.9rt on Dakota durrango. Anyway, I just got a 03 quad cab Dakota with a bad 4.7l and am about to do the 5.3 swap. I am not new to swapping engines, but am new to Chevy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do me a favor. Please visit the discussion forum at lsdak.com. I would like to check with you about the perches that are welded to the frame to see if they are the same as the 3.9/5.2/5.9. I think they are.

I'll check it out. I looked at the motor mount perches on the 4.7 and then looked at my 5.9 and they look the same. I will be interested in the motor mount adapter plates In the near future. I am in the process of ripping out the 4.7 now.

It won't let me log in to lsdak for some reason. I'll get it figured out. Picked up a new engine today. The other one was sluge city. I returned it. New one is an 06 complete from air box to exhaust and trans. It is really clean too

Default motor mount plates

I know this is an old thread but I've been looking at it for about 2 years while I gathered parts for my 00 dak 5.3 4l80e swap. I was wondering if you could give me exact measurements of hole placement for the motor mounts or build a set and I could buy them from you. Any help will be much appreciated. I just really wanna do this swap right the first time.

Using the 6L90, I had to have a longer driveshaft. I don't remember the specifics, but I think it was around 107"(?). I have the receipt somewhere.

That is why it had to be 5 inches diameter.

I'm doing a 4wd Durango right now. So far, it has been even easier. The 2WD Durango should be the same as a 2WD Dakota.

You can check out my latest build at http://lsdak1.freeforums.net/thread/...rango-4wd-swap

Do you mind texting me I am in the process of starting a Ls swap and need alot of questions answered. Thanks for your time. (405)410-2794
