Default Wiring troubles on ls fox

5.3 into a foxbody have a few wiring issues to resolve to start the car.

I have a truck alternator and the harness I'm using is a stand alone bought from calspeed. In this harness the alt plug is a 2 pin plug. A friend of mine told me I can split the wires and run them to the prong accordingly with a resistor soldered inline.

Does this sound right? And can I get some direction with this problem?

Next problem. This harness has 3 red wires that go to a ignition 12 volt and 1 yellow wire for a 12 volt constant. Sounds easy to wire but I was told that I need to wire the ecu to a relay. How the hell do I do that?

Next is my fans. 98 camaro fans, the plug has been cut off the fan side. There's a 2 wire plug coming off the harness for fans. How do I wire the fans to run off the ecu so they function normally and only when they need too?

Thanks ahead of time I'm really hoping you guys can help me out with these issues. Their the last hurtles before I can start the car.

You prob have a 07 up alt 2 prong. This is the type controlled by the ecm. The resistor trick will not work.

You can leave it unplugged and just hook the battery wire up and it will charge about 13.6

I have my dads car set up this way and it works great

Can I solve this with a 07 and up alt and will it bolt in place? And can you explain more on the wiring directly to batt?

Yes
The alt you have is for a earlier truck.

The wiring mod will not work as well as the correct alt
