Does that alternator clear a stock shaker hood? I don't know if I should use an F-body accessory drive on my 71 T/A. I haven't had the engine in it yet, so I don't know what fits and what doesn't. I know our hoods seem to drop off towards the nose of the car, so just by looking at it, it looks close.
I was planning on changing the intake anyways, but if I can get away with the truck drive, that's perfect!
I'm using the formula hood. The truck alternator was about 3/4 inch to high. the f-body alternator sits about 1 inch lower so its close. I haven't put the hood on yet the fenders are at the body shop waiting to get them back so I can check the fit. Car isn't painted yet pretty much in pieces working on wiring the computer now.
Did you use the LQ4 computer? What did you use for throttle body, aftermarket? Any special changes needed? Which coils are you going with, truck or lsx?
I got my computer and wiring harness from Bill at BP Automotive. The computer is from a F-body drive by cable. He put a custom tune on it. I sent him my engine specs. Great guy to deal with awesome work. My throttle body is a professional Products 96mm. I used the truck coils. I have LS3 heads and intake. I made a throttle cable bracket that mounts to back side of water pump and shortened the F-body throttle cable about 6".

Roadrunner you have any other pics of the motor? i might be PMing you with some other questions if you dont mind. im getting ready to start the same project on a 70 camaro.
How did you go about making the hydrolic clutch set up? I'd like to stay with a cable t56 but its looking like it may be more of a pain then its worth. Your old pics don't seem to work anymore, do you mind posting some pics of the clutch master cylinder and how you mounted it to the clutch pedal. If you could that would be great.
I got a tick master cylinder They have an adjustable rod end that goes into the clutch pedal. I made some spacers and used a bolt through the hole in clutch pedal. The pictures are when I mocked it up. The spacers are the same size as the race on the rod end so everything is tight, but can still have movement in the rod.

Update on my project. Got the computer and wiring harness installed cranked it over about 5 times and it fired right up runs great after adjusting the throttle body. Got all the panels on and its in the body shop for final prep and paint hope to get it back by spring. Here are a few pictures took before she left home.
