Default Mustang LSX Swap K-Member Question

I'm looking for ways to cut costs on an LSX swap into a 98 mustang, and I am trying to figure out what the cheapest K-member combination would be. I did do a search, but I couldn't find anything conclusive.

I was thinking: 96-98 4.6 GT factory k-member, UPR LSX adapter plates, and Corvette factory exhaust manifolds.

Will this combination lead to rubbing or interference?

Also, I was going to use an f-body oil pan.

I used an '04 4.6 k-member and made my own steel plate adapters.

Costed me $10 to make the adapters.

K-member and mounts -$80
Motor mount adapters-$10
Labor- Free

$90 is dirt cheap compared to the $400+ I was going to spend on the AJE stuff.

I'm not sure if the vette manifolds will fit. I picked up a set of 2010 camaro manifolds, they fit my 95 mustang like they were made for it. You can usually get a pair for $40 or $50 on the camaro forums.

Good luck.

Thanks for the input!

94'BLKBRD - Are you using an f-body oil pan and f-body factory exhaust manifolds?

Boostnut - Are you using your stock 5.0 k-member in your combination? Or did you go with a 4.6 factory k-member?

Also curious to know, although my car already has a maximum motorsports tubular K-member.

I would hate to have to sell/part out any more stuff beyond the stock longblock to free up some cash to build up a lsX for the car.

I'm using the AJE k-member. It was cheap, easy, and saves a bunch of weight right where it counts. If I had it to do all over I'd use a different tubular k-member, the MM unit looks like a really nice piece.
