Upr k member and flaming river steering shaft no work on my fox
Been building this pos for a while finally got it to run now have problems with steering fitment.
1988 foxbody hatch and is a manual 5 spd.
I converted it to auto and has a UPR k member on it now
I'm using 2010 camaro manifolds and I ground down on the flange some but still can't pull enough Clarence.
I'm using solid motor mounts and they are on the very front slot. I'm using a aje tubular trans member and it's back as far as it will allow with out cutting the brackets and moving them back and rewelding.
I have the flaming river steering shaft and the joints are at their max
Is there another way around this problem?
What have other people done to remedy their problem?

I am not sure that this whole 4.6 kmember and mount thing is the way to go. I tried that and I was unhappy with the fitment of the steering rack or the way the engine sat in general. Thankfully I was trying it with my plastic mock up block and not the real motor or I would have been quite irritated. Maybe we should start a combos that DON'T work thread along with ones that do work for future swappers.

It might depend on the chassis. I have the UPR K-member, 4.6 motor mounts and adapter plates in my SN95 car with a flaming river rack and dynatech headers and no issues anywhere. The engine sits back about as far as you can go and the cross member is a modified stock one.
