For new I don't think that is too bad of a price.

LS2 with speartech harness and pedal
Stock computer
Corvette Accesory Drive
Tremec TKO500
Corvette flywheel, clutch and pressure plate
Keisler Hydraulic clutch
I was into this for roughly $7000

The LS2 I got had 5000 miles on it.

If you get a used engine that has issues then I may be back up to the price for your new setup on Jegs.

Honestly I would look at the 5.3 with the 4L60E/4L65E out of a truck. Get a different pulley drive and intake/throttle body and do it for a lot less.

I have a 5.3 in my 1500 Silverado and it is a stout motor for being stock and in a 5500lb pickup.

I didn't go this way because I wanted to say LS2 and have an all aluminum motor. Vanity is expensive.

The only problem I have seen is with performing "after the purchase" tuning on the E67 ECMs that come with those crate engines (apparently it is a custom OS). You may be able to find a much better deal on a used LS3 get an aftermarket harness and GM E38 ECM and call it a day for considerably less money. Albeit, it wont be new. Just my thoughts.

The only problem with tuning is you need a special license, because it's not "model specific"
Other than that, I've had no issues with my crate LS3

I only wish they had the connect and cruise in 2010 when I bought my crate LS3 and 4L65E and ECU and TCU separate. With connect and cruise, the Transmission control harness plugs directly into the ECU harness without having to cut and splice wires to make a bulkhead connector. If I ever decide to do another LS swap, this is the way I'll do it.

i was told it is fully tuneable by the guy at scoggins.. same ecu as new camaro .. if i didnt find a take out i would buy this--

there are no take out LS3s that i have seen to be had .. none on ebay- none locally etc.. i would go that way IF i could find one..

today i got ahold of daytonallez and going to go with a low mile LS2 he has -- save 4k.. .. as the new LS3 needs diff oil pan-- 400-- and front accy drive- another 700 -- so its 12k --
