You have them milled then lay them face down on an old truck bed?

Anyhow I had a 84 Regal. Loved that car. Looking forward to your build.

I'll be watching this one. I have an 84 Monte Carlo that will be going from 229 to LS eventually.

I'm also curious to see the numbers you get. I have a 5.3 in my Z, but I did not shave the heads.

While the heads are off, I would put the best valve springs you can afford in there. Also, ditch the stock rod bolts for some ARPs. If you look at the factory pieces and the sleeved taper they have, that is a weak link. Fine for a truck that sees 5000 rpm once in a blue moon, but not hardly good enough for an engine that sees 6500 rpm repeatedly which you will do with a cam.

Thats a tuff cal i am a G-body guy at heart,,,hmmm Malibu or Regal....I have the almost twin to your car on TB.com,pretty sure i seen yours on their site..

i might if i get the firs 1 engine done ...$$$ is tight..shortblock is in the mahine shop now..waiting on that bill !!! lol these ls base engines is a hole diff. ball game than the 23* stuff....

I see. In that case i would do the Fox if theirs already g bodies with ls's in your area. I meant it as you see tons of ls fox's on the internet and not as many g bodies with ls engines
