Gauge options?
Hey Guys. What are you guys using for gauges on all these swaps? Im having a hard time finding options. Everyone here has to be keeping an eye on speed, tach, oil, volt, and water some how. lol

I just ordered Speedhut Gauges. Pretty cheap and you can customize how you want the font, color and lighting. 3 Gauges, one being a quad gauge, all customized with custom writing on each, came out to $528

I used glowshift digital coolant and RPM gauge. Everyone says you need a tach adapter, but I didn't for my gauge. I also used a hide-a-way autometer fuel gauge which worked with my pump.
This time I'm going stock gauges in my 94 S10. It might be harder if your doing a non GM car.

Gauges are one of the things I am fearing. My car came with nearly brand new 45 year old Stewart Warner gauges that I really want to use, but Iv'e no idea if there is a way to make them work.

I'm trying to figure out which gauges to run right now also. Lsx fox with 5.3/4l60 combo
Car came with equus oil, volt, water and fuel. The water gauge has too big of an end piece to use on the block so don't know what my options are for this gauge.
I know equus sell a tach and speedo that are 3 3/8's since I'm using the Florida 5.0 gauge holder. The the tach and speedo from equus electrical or mechanical?
Which type of gauge do I need for the motor/trans?
And one else already solve this probes for they swap? If so what did you end up running?

I used the factory gauges from my 99 Camaro donor car. Had to cut the cluster apart to reconfigure the arrangement. Printed circuit board is behind dash with jumpers to gauge pins. Used a marine plastic product called "Seaboard" to cut for faceplate. Also check with most gauge manufacturers for boxes to convert data signal from computer to analog for standard gauges.

If you have a smartphone or a tablet, try the Torque app with OBD2 bluetooth adapter.
$4.95 for the app and $25 for the adapter. You can customize the display to show any sensor values that the computer reads.

those do look nice! the cell app is awsome. Doesn't the volt, temp, and coolent have to run electric off of the computer or are you guys installing the sensors? Thats whats hanging me up. Everyone that does a swap, has to keep an eye on things some how. lol
