Default DBW issues

What I have is a 2005 5.3L using a DBW throttle body with a 4L60E transmission that I put into a 1965 Chevy C-10. The issue that I am having is the idle is not steady plus when I press the gas pedal down a little it seems that the engine goes to the max rpm. The rpms then come down to, guessing, around 1500 rpms then after about a minute the idle drops down to almost stalling.

I have been through a few other forms and have read that the TAC box and the Pedal assembly needs to be from the same model year as the engines computer.

Has anyone had an issue with the DBW system asking like this? Any help on this issue would be great. If anyone has questions please ask. I've been trying to figure this out for a few days now and could ise a little help. Thanks in advance,
Robert
