Default Dropping in an LS1 in a mustang

I am going to drop in an LS1 in a Mustang,I want to show a couple of my friends that are Ford fanatics what a real Ford has.I bought a 1986 Mustang with a blown up 4 cylinder today, the co owner I own an used car lot with had it in the back lot, wanted to get rid of it and I bought it for $700.00.Luckily I found the kit to drop an LS1 in a Fox body mustang and ordered it.Car is in good shape, the hood is dented up and going to be replaced.I want to do something differant,a Ford with a Chevy drivetrain.

This is becoming a very popular swap. Just so you know the 98-02 f-body gage clusters are almost a drop in for the fox body mustangs. We sell an adapter pigtail for this if you go that route.

Do you guys happen to have any pics of the camaro cluster in a mustang? I have tried looking but have only found 1 or 2 pics and they weren't the best quality pics. I am doing this swap as well and have been hearing about the camaro cluster in the stang and I am curious how it actually looks.

I have bought more parts too,the instrument cluster from the junkyard out of a 2000 Firebird.Luckily I bought the adaptor from one of my mother's boyfriend's buddies, had a big box full of them and sold one to me for $10.00.I did buy a hood too,car is at the body shop now getting prepped for a paint job.Pulled the old blown up 4 cylinder last night including transmission.Going with the T56 manual transmission.Yard is pulling the LS1 out of a 1999 Trans Am,I did hear it run before it got pulled and runs good with no loud noises. The Ford emblems are going too.I did order the oil pan,oil pump pick up tube also so I don't need to do any modifications to the front suspension all except the front springs using V8 springs.
