what oil filter fits the gm swap oil pan?

Question what oil filter fits the gm swap oil pan?

You need any filter with the 22mm adapter. I use one from any Gen IV truck engine like a 2006 Silverado with a 6.0. The older pans use a 13/16" adapter. The ones I buy say what they are on the threaded portion of the filter.

I'm not going to even touch the which brand of filter or oil debate, you are on your own there.

Ok. I got one for an f body but its just a hair shy of threading in. And i use k&n filters
Just. Cuz they have a nut on the bottom. Easier access lol

Might try the AC PF48... I use the PF46e which i recall is the smaller thread and the PF48 uses on the new oil pans with the larger thread.

If you want, the threaded adapter can be interchanged to the older or smaller threaded ones.

The GMPP pan is the newer metric style.

(PF63) WIX 57045 taller filter (4.828") for the newer 22mm threads.
(PF48) WIX 57060 shorter filter (3.45") for 22mm threads

Either above will work.

The 'hot rod' pan is a hummer H3 pan I believe
