Is the lower radiator hose, Camaro(2002) supposed to have a spring in it?

Just what the title asks. I got one from Rock Auto and it dont have one.

Interested too...I bought a new lower hose and no spring...Not sure if LS1s need them or not.

Most modern hoses do not have them. If you feel one is needed, they are easy to make. I bought a small spool of 16 gauge galvanized wire at Home Depot and wrapped it around a piece of pipe to form coils and then massaged it to where it would fit inside the hose. I had to drop a piece of cord through the hose and use it pull on the wire as I worked it into the hose. With the wire in there you cannot collapse the hose. Cost was less than $2.
