Default MSD Coils

Are the MSD coils a good upgrade on a 6.0 I am putting in my 70??? Is it worth the $800 Jegs wants? Thanks

Well.. it is about $800 of looking pretty.. and possible failures down the road.. suggest you research on the subject of the "MSD Coil problems"

IMO.. I got better things to spend the cash on.

I would throw that money towards something else... like heads. or rotting assembly if you have some already. (obviously its a lil more $$) just my .02

Be careful. I spoke with MSD coil engineers about swapping coils on my LQ when I started the project. Depending upon the style, some are not compatible with the OE pcm. The engineer said that the OE coils on LQ series 02-04 are better than most aftermarket and OE coils on LS series. For this reason they did not see a reason to attempt a replacement.

Thanks guys, looks like I will keep my OE coils, and apply that money elsewhere.
