67-69 Camaro LSx motor mounts, help ?
Well...I got the motor in and the Holley pan is sitting on the cross member with one motor mount bolted up while the other side is about 3/4" short.
I was going to make up a pair of spacers at work.
Is this what I need ?
Help

Doug, i used edelbrock setback mounts and a holley pam on my 67. i had to make some spacers little over a 1/4 in on both sides. Plus little grind in the mount hole for a smige more room. Hope this helps

67-69 Camaro/Firebird & Nova--I have the Hooker plates #12611-HKR & Hooker ceramic headers #2288-1HKR.
With these, the engine sits in the stock SBC location. I was able to reuse my stock 1998 oilpan, without modification/no interference with the steering.
For the engine mounts...Energy Suspension poly mounts 3.1114G
Many folks here have found the Dirty Dingo adjustable motor plates work very well.
Because of rear engine clearances, your SBC heater core may have to be swapped out to the BBC core. The BB core tubes exit further toward the pass wheel well, and provide more clearance.

What motor stands do you have?? 327/350?? You might have swap plates on wrong side or flipped wrong.I have the 327/350 stands with edelbrock swap plates 1inch setback, and the wide poly motor mount you buy at pep boys and both autokraft,ls1 fbody oil pan fit.at first when I went to but the motor only one mount would sit on the stand right the other I couldn't put a bolt.I swap plates right to left left to right,it dropped right in.

Yes, even stacked them to see what that would do.
My mounts are like these below....can't swap sides.

[QUOTE=Doug G;16702842]Mounts lined up fine, just need to be... taller ?
It would be nicer if there was 3/8" more height so, the holley pan to sub clearance was better. Nothing that can't be fixed quick and easily. The only real drawback i see is, if you want to mount the a/c compressor low. These things are roomy pieces. I'm going to cut mine and weld them when i'm finally done and ready to paint just for that reason.

Well.... I made 1/2" spacers at work today.
Installed spacers, elongated bolt holes....all in now and the pan has 1/8" maybe ???
Threw on the pass. header.....no issues....drivers side needs to go in from the bottom I guess...Ain't no way its going in from the top.
Enough for tonight.

I was considering trying the dirty dingo plates but I'm not sure they will work with the stock F-Body pan and/or the Hooker headers. I like the adjustability though!!

I found out the same thing a year ago, the Holley pan does not fit. Tried several of their motor plates and none worked. The Holley pan is over 3/4" deeper in the front than the stock pan. Got the Autokraft pan and it worked great.
Holley has no idea that the first gen Camaros came with several different motor mounts and could not tell me exactly which ones they used to test fit their pan. Also, make sure both of your motor mounts are matching, one of my mounts was for the 302 set up and the other for the 350, even after replacing with new, the Holley pan still hit the stock crossmember. Anyone that is doing this swap in a first gen either use the stock pan if you can get it to fit or get the Autokraft...money well spent with no headaches.

Stock F-Body pan cleared my crossmember with plenty of clearance. It looks like my engine is back far enough so that I don't need to cut it either. So far, I am a fan of these Hooker plates, even though others feel it places the engine "too close" to the firewall My first gen ATS trans crossmember fit perfect as well! So far so good...
