I am new to this ls swap stuff and have done some searching without a definite answer. I have a 01 5.3 truck engine and stand alone wiring for 4l60e. I just found a good deal on a 05 2wd 4l60e tranny. But I dont know if it will work? Plugins etc. Thanks for any help.

OK thanks does the tranny have its own ecu? Searching ebay I see tranny ecus for sale.

No. A PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is used on those to control the engine and transmission.

Thanks guys. Im installing this in a 40 ford coupe. Ill post some picks when I get going. Im still collecting parts.
