It's a split firewall grommet made by Seals-It. I picked mine up from Jegs, but you can get them from summit and ebay as well.

I'm now waiting on my holley accessory drive kit, which I should receive this week some time. I did manage to trailer the car to a local car show on saturday and I took second place in the under construction class. Weather was amazing. I love this time of year.

I received my Holley accessory bracket kit today. This is a TOP NOTCH kit. It bolts up easy and looks like a factory vette setup. I should have the reservoir and hoses all taken care of by friday so I can take the car for a real ride.

Glad you like the Holley kit. I have a friend I'm trying to get to use one and get some cool pulleys. He wanted to go all billet until he saw the price. I think the Holley kit with some smoothing and paint is a reasonable option.

I was going to use a billet kit from Dirty Dingo. He's actually releasing it this week I think for the ls1, but after looking at all the options I like that the holley kit looks like factory parts. It's designed identical to the corvette bracket, but uses the cheaper alternators.

I ordered the middle placement spacer kit and it includes the spacer for the passenger side A/C also so I will be all set later when I add the A/C.

Cool. When you say "the cheaper alternators" are you referring to the 102 amp F-Body alternators? That is what it looks like you are running. I prefer the 145 amp truck alternators which work on the F-Body mounts but have a slightly larger case. Either way, both are usually in stock at the parts store, unlike the Y-Body piece.

I'm running the f body, but either alternator will fit.

Cool. You will be happy with that choice if it dies - trust me.

Hope your parts come in today.

Accessory kit all done and works well. Now I know what all the hype is about this steering box. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

Now I just need to get my cold air intake setup figured out.

"Now I know what all the hype is about this steering box."

What steering box do you have? I might do the same on my 1965 Skylark.

On my Skylark I went with the dual pass radiator which puts both radiator hoses on the passenger side. That makes it easy to run the cold air intake over to the drivers side. Maybe you can do something with the upper radiator hose to make that possible.

It's a power box from a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 1993-1998 will work. They are 12.7 ratio compared to the factory 16.1 ratio.

What difference does it make which side the air filter goes on?

It doesn't unless you want cold air. The colder the air the more power you can make. It appears his battery is on the passenger side so that blocks off that area. The next best spot is in front of the drivers side fender if he could get his air filter into that area. Check out post #71 in the following link to see what I am doing. With the 2010+ Camaro's they are picking up 15rwhp with a good aftermarket cold air intake system.

My passenger side is empty. My battery is in the trunk. I just need to get the filter setup extended down into that hole for some cooler air.

We relocated the battery, so really no difference on our build...

Thanks! I'm very pleased with the way it all turned out. I actually went down in horsepower with this new setup, but the seat feel is 10x better and much more fun to drive with the 6 speed.
