I welded a tab onto my factory clutch pedal so the master cylinder lined up properly. Post 39 in this thread has some pics.

Thanks for the info! Purchased the bracket and a Tilton master cylinder, got to figure out how to make the flat flange work with the bracket.

Another question for ya. Trying to locate my engine, have it about set up the same way as you but the depression for the gas pedal rod in the firewall is blocking the 10 o'clock bellhousing bolt. Did you have to mess with it or was it already smoothed?

I smoothed the firewall before installing, but I actually never modified that area. My lokar gas pedal still bolts up to that original spot. I don't recall any issues reaching any of the bolts.

Got my coil covers spruced up. Filled in, painted and Hydrographics added. They really cleaned up the engine bay.

I just checked out your build thread.
Great build!
Looks like you took the time to do things right rather than just slapping on anything that would work.
Did you do any modifications or upgrades to the engine internals? The thread doesn't seem to show any but maybe I just missed it.

My LS1 & T56 swap into a Miata is 99% done and it surprises me how much is the same to get the swap done.

hey i read through this entire thread and im impressed. car is very cool. i didnt see what motor mounts you are using? im just about to start my own project. found a nice 1964 SS malibu hardtop thats been backhalfed but is just a very plain roller at this point. im taking the entire combination out of my 1215whp LS mustang and outting it in this car. should be a fun ride.

Badass man! You will love it. The wife and I just drove ours from Arizona to Chicago IL. and back on route 66. Was an incredible 10 day vacation. I put 3900 miles on it! I hope you start a build thread.

How cool, wish I could have met up with you to check out your car. I live on Route 66 West of St.Louis. My 64 build seems to just be creeping along.

Just west of there in Rolla, live 6 miles off the interstate. You probably would have gotten tired answering questions on all this swap stuff. When did you go through?
