Default noob tranny question

car = rx7 fd ls1 t56

so the builder of my car's custom engine mount and tranny mounts has the tranny sitting very low, i.e. it seems to be tilted backwards. its causing a lot of issues with the shifter sitting so low. my question is, if i ordered the proper tranny mount, will the engine have play to tilt forward or is it a solid fixed type motor/mount?

Do you know if the stock crossmember is being used?

Even solid mounts have some movement. I have solids on the Chevelle and still was able to tilt the whole thing up and down enough to pull the tranny swap converters. as long as nothing else interfears, you shouldn't have a problem raising the trans some. I put 3/4" spacers between my Crossmember and trans mounts and used a little longer bolt to correct driveline angle issue.

This question is one of them "DEPENDS".. no one can really answer this question with the amount of information you have provided. My magic 8 Ball is dry... and not working today..

There are many of us on this forum and section, but you are asking very specfic question that relate to a specfic applicaiton (Car/trans/engine). That would be a smaller population of Users here. so.. give it a some time for people to get back on and find your question...

But if I can suggest something to helpl...

1) Posting Pictures of the problem area with a good description would help.
2) Information on the mounts or kit, are they a custom one off or part of a Kit that is marketed by some company ?
3) what have you tried so far to remediate the issue ?
4) have you contacted the maker of the mounts ?
5) have you searched for FD swaps and reached out to them onwer/userID ? (try contacting GNX7 here on this forum and others, I know him and he does a lot of RX7 swaps and work).

I know I don't have any insight to the FD and a swap..
