Default waterpump leak

hey guy ive been having a problem i just change my coolant in my 1988 silverado 5.3 swap. the last couple of days and was having issue with my water pump leaking afterwards. so i changed the waterpump gaskets and still it was leaking but i found out it only leaks out off the weep hole. only when the truck is off. does it mean the water pump is about to take a crap shoot cause i heard that if it leaks while the truck running it bad but mine dose it only when its off

It shouldn't leak at all. I would buy a new pump and not worry about it - but that's me.

Probably not what you wanted to hear.

The weep hole is put there to tell you that the water pump is going out. This way you change it before it gets so bad that the shaft locks up or breaks and destroys your radiator.
