Motor mount options? and oil pan
Doing a 6.0 and 4l80e swap into 84 monte carlo, Ive seen mounts for moving once inch forward or back to 3 in forward, what have you guys done or recommend? looking for best fit to get enigne in with out alot of modifactions that i can avoid.
also what oil pan can i use just a stock ls1 oil pan?

You can just use your clam shell type mount with adapters you can buy them off eBay for bout $40. As for your oil pan you can use a ls1 pan. I used one off a cts-v cadi. Even had room for a 3inch down pipe for my turbo.

ok with you monte carlo, did you clear the heater box mounting it in stock location, thats why i was wondering if i should go with a 1 in forward or if stock location is fine?

Those mounts go 1 inch forward , stock location and 1 inch back.. I haven't put in my motor yet.. I have a aftermarket heater box.. Check out my pic's...
