The brake signal wire which im guessing is purple is for the torque converter lock up signal. It should have a constant 12v until you hit the brakes and then it should lose voltage.

if you can look and find out where the wires go to the pcm I can tell you for sure.
The Brake signal wire should go to Blue 33
And the neutral safety wire should go to blue 34.
Let me know and I can tell you for sure.

This would suprise the hell out of me because you will NEVER find anything pinned at blue 34 on a manual harness. On blue 32 you will find the clutch switch signal.

I'm pretty sure I just grounded my NSS wire on my swap. If I remember right, it needs ground before the PCM thinks your in park or neutral to let the car start. Grounding it will allow it to start in park or neutral, along with reverse or drive if you're not careful. I'd connect it to the switch on the clutch pedal that gets grounded when you press in the clutch.

I'm confused..I don't understand the acronyms or the terms used here.
Edit...Ahh I see, the "neutral Safety Switch"....Do have one on the factory wiring. So a continuous ground wouldn't be unsafe in my case. yu "I'm not sure what is meant by "Crank relearn"

You are running a manual transmission you will not need either wire. What harness did you purchase from psi? what was the part number?
