I just bought a set of CPP tubular swap mounts for my '69 C10. And although I haven't installed them yet, I've understood it that moves the engine forward a bit to compensate for the smaller dimensions of the lsx. Keep in mind though, if you start moving the motor in the engine compartment, there is a chance you will have to move your tranny crossmember too. Your driveshaft probably has enough play to compensate. Just some info to keep in the back of your mind. Good luck!!!

Default frame mounts

hello ls1tech. hey dobbs87, i used the factory frame mounts for a v8. the factory v8 frame mounts, plus stock motor mounts, and swaptech adapter plate mounted my lq4 in place. tbss factory sit perfect. i must admit the heat shields had to be monified/altered a little were the shields touch the stock frame mounts. here are few pics.

dec010974 good job, i tried using stock manifolds but for some reason it hit the frame even with shields off. might of been cuz of the cpp products. i went with cpp myself using engine plates and tubular mounts, also bought tubular tranny crossmember, but u could use a old style style to save on cash
