LS-1 conversions Hi folks, I`m putting an LS-1 6L in my 71 Camero, I have to change the intake manifold to keep stock hood, un sure what type. I would like to use factory GM intake. Any help would be great! thanks, Gene

Well is it a 6.0L (not LS1), a 5.7L LS1, or a bored/stroked LS1? I'm guessing it's not a LS1 since you have to change the intake, so it's probably a 6.0L iron engine (LQ4?). Does it have Rectangle or cathedral port heads? If it is a LS1 with cathedral heads, I would get a LS6 intake. Also it's Camaro...

I'm guessing you're LS1 is bored out to be a 6L?
Anyways it really doesn't matter
As long as your ports are cathedral you shouldn't have a problem running an LS1 intake or a LS6 intake. Just don't run a truck manifold and hood clearance should be fine man.
